The Life Learning Program Assistance for Those with Disabilities (LiPAD) empowers young adults with disabilities to step into the world with confidence, purpose, and independence. Lipad has practical, hands-on activities that prepare them for the world of work.

Children First - Kanlong considers children's safety as a priority. We provide orientations for both parents and students to help prevent child abuse and ensure prompt, effective responses when needed.

On March 21, 2025, families gathered at Kanlong Foundation for a special parent-child activity—making dream boards to share their hopes and goals for the future. Seminar for Parents - On June 28, our scholar's parents joined a seminar on Inclusive Employment Pathways, turning ideas into action through shared stories, insights, and empowerment.

To mark the end of the Second Trimester, students participated in a hands-on activity that highlighted their storekeeping and clerical skills. With the support of their parents, they prepared and sold a variety of products, interacted with customers, and recorded their sales transactions. The 2-day event was a success, thanks to the enthusiastic support of the community who visited the booths and engaged with the young entrepreneurs.

Several organizations and individuals supported Kanlong Foundation's scholarship program. With their help, 41 scholars and their families were given learning opportunities.

The LiPAD (Life Learning Program Assistance for Those with Disabilities) was revamped in partnership with Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation. Their Life Skills Plus modules and thorough guidance enabled Kanlong to improve the existing program that aims to guide the students to have functional and independent lives through preparation for employment and work opportunities.

The LARO program was initially created so that children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic can experience socialization with their peers through play-based activities. This year, LARO also opened scholarship slots so that more children will get to experience learning through play as they are prepared to transition to a school setting.

We had a couple of little Van Goghs, little da Vincis, and little Picassos last April 29! The students designed their personalized tote bag. They were guided by Astrolikha, the guest facilitator. The students expressed themselves through Art while listening to calming music.

Kanlong envisions a community that is engaging, vibrant, and inclusive. In August 18, the day of the musical show, we witnessed our vision come to life. Families, friends, and people who advocate for those with disabilities supported the show from beginning until the curtains fell. On this day, the students shone bright and illuminated the hope that everyone is capable given the chance. Special thanks to the director of the show, Ms. Pinky Marquez-Cancio.

Hoops, Hopes, and Joy! A celebration of abilities last November 23. Coinciding with the Social Inclusion Week, the students celebrated their athletic capabilities with the help of junior high school students from the Samahang Atleta ng Cavite Institute headed by Coach Jose “Otik” Menchavez II. Fun games and basic exercises reminded us all to keep our bodies moving.

The families are our partners towards change. They are in the frontlines in caring and advocating for their children. That is why this SPED facts training was held last April 26. This day offered a ton of information about child development and the various disabilities that affect progress and participation. The parent's valuable experiences were shared among the group and allowed us all to learn from one another.

Practical approaches were imparted during the parent training last September 27. Activities that they can do at home were shown through examples and role plays. Parents also had their turn to share approaches that worked for their families.

142 people were given consultations, check-ups, and dental services by volunteer doctors from Children First Foundation, Tomorrow's Hope Foundation, and UERM - MAASC (Medical Association Alumni of Southern California) on February 4, 2024.

101 SNED Students from Lalaan Central School received bags of joy from the Galban Family. 34 Persons with Disability received grocery packs through the help of cash donors. 100 Persons with Disability received bags of rice from Elev8te Fitness Group.

29 scholars engaged in activities prepared by students from Adventist University of the Philippines. Art activity, sandwich making, and games were facilitated by the students. The day was filled with laughter and fun activities for every scholar.

“A Symphony of Smiles: Celebrating Life Through Music And Giving” by Krizel Ann Bulla as she celebrated her birthday. Along with her friends, they filled the room with delightful melodies, songs, and storytelling. Gifts were given to 18 scholars fulfilling their wishlist. Food personally made by the celebrant was shared. Corporate Social Responsibility - 41 scholars and their families joined fun activities and received gifts and food during the programs by various organizations.
